Ramy is getting healthy! We arrived in Unalakleet about half an hour after Ramy did at noon. Ramy's dogs were reported to be very energetic even after a 10 hour run from Kaltag. Unlike many of the other remote checkpoints, there was a crowd of media around Ramy today. The Iditarod entourage is getting excited as the end of the race nears. |

Unalakleet is a village of about 800 people. It is the first checkpoint on the arctic coast of Norton Sound. |

This is Ramy's Aunt Sandy and cousin Greg. They flew out to Unalakleet to cheer on Ramy with his Mom, an uncle and a friend from Anchorage. |
